Galway's greatest hits are to be heard at Galway City Museum this Saturday afternoon.

Galway City Museum will host an afternoon devoted exclusively to the songs that made Galway famous, in the company of artist in residence John Faulkner, the legendary singer-songwriter who has been living here for over 30 years.

Eight new comedians will throw down their best ten minutes in the hope of some fast and furious laughs in the Róisín Dubh next week.

Earwig Tuam Arts Festival is holding a film night later this month and is looking for submissions from local film makers. The popular 'We Like Short Shorts' programme is back for the 2010 Tuam Arts Festival and will features short films in any genre, as long as they are under ten minutes long.

Earwig Tuam Arts Festival runs from 20 to 28 August. Earwig! are a community arts organisation who run the festival, which is now its eighth year.
