Guinness brings the 'Our Thursdays' showcase to Galway this week when the hottest new musical acts will all vie for a chance to share the stage with Snow Patrol, as part of the Arthur's Day line-up on Thursday 23 September.

Music fans can catch emerging acts performing free of charge across pub venues in Galway at 9pm tomorrow, Thursday 22 July. Fans can then vote, via text, for their favourite act to go through to the next 'Our Thursdays' night.

Pull up a chair, as Danny Bhoy heads to Cuba this weekend with a smart blast of observant comedy. Since his first solo show in a modest 60-seater at the Edinburgh Fringe back in 2001, Danny's Bhoy's star has continued to rise, with his eight solo show at the Fringe selling out last year.

He has smashed box office records in Australia, Canada, New Zealand as well as his home country of Scotland, and comes to Galway on the back of a sell-out tour of the US.

Following a sell-out tour of the US, Danny Bhoy heads up the comedic aspect of the Galway Arts Festival programme this weekend. Joined by Giles Brody and MC Gerry Mallon, Danny promises to bring his unique brand of storytelling and razor–sharp wit to create a remarkable intimacy with his audience.
